Site Rules
All pilots are expected to know and follow the Site Rules. These rules have been set to adhere to USHPA Insured sites, the wishes of the land owners at launch and throughout the Dunlap and Squaw Valley communities, and for the general safety of all pilots.
Dunlap Flight Park -
Site Rules
· No smoking at launch or in set-up areas.
· No foul language at launch or set-up areas.
· No consumption of alcohol at launch or set-up areas.
· Pilots must be current on their yearly launch fees prior to flying.
· Pilots must use all appropriate safety gear, including but not limited to reserve parachute & helmet.
· Pilots must be a verified current USHPA member with a Hang/Para 3 rating or above.
· Pilots with a USHPA Hang/Para 2 rating may be sponsored by a USHPA Observer or Instructor. The sponsor must supervise the sponsored pilot from the launch
area. The Flight Director must be notified prior to flight, identifying the Observer/Instructor.
· There are absolutely no top landings allowed at this site.
· Pilot must comply with any rules in the landing area posted by the owner of the designated landing zone.
· When you land, do not go over or through any fences, find a gate and use it, leave the gate as you found it.
Pilots are responsible to insure that people that come to launch with them also obey these rules. Infractions by friends, family, drivers, etc. of pilots will be dealt with as though the pilot was guilty of the infraction. Payment of the yearly flying fees shall constitute agreement of these rules by the pilot.
Infractions to these rules may cause the pilot’s flying privileges to be temporarily or permanently revoked. This action will only be taken after a vote of the officers of the Dunlap Flight Park Club after an investigation and report by the Club’s Launch Director.
Flying fees help to pay for the lease of the launch facilities, USHPA chapter insurance, and maintenance of the launch such as weed control, clearing, mowing, and port-a-potty maintenance. Dunlap Flight Park Club is handled as a non-profit club.
